Hi! I am Abiel Wong, a graduate of St Mark’s Church Bradbury Kindergarten Class of 2016.

I set foot for the first time in a kindergarten, 11 years ago as a happy and curious toddler with little Chinese knowledge. Ms Ho and many kindhearted teachers held my hand and together we started my learning journey joyfully.

All teachers, Ms Wong and Principal Leung patiently taught me through and through about the importance of love- by loving God and loving others- all foundational to live an ethical life with a Christian perspective. Each day we started with worship and praise to our Lord, this set the positive environment to be loved and nurtured. So day by day and little by little, solid foundations were laid and characters started to build.

Serving others is one of the key pillars of St Mark’s principle and I hope it will be my key focus in life too. I remember when I was a little volunteer, I saw the similes on the peoples’ faces that we helped and it made me so happy. This had a lasting impact and till this day I hope to look for ways to serve. I am helping at the church kitchen, reading to younger kids and doing some community work.

Currently I live in Australia and studying in year9, I am active in playing sports such as water polo and volleyball; enjoying music by learning to play clarinet; a keen participant in drama performance and clubs including Latin language. My love for continuous learning, confidence to explore new areas and humble service have been rooted in me since my St Mark’s day. I am and always will be proud and thankful to be a智慧、仁愛、謙卑、溫柔、勇敢、活潑和快樂的小獅子。
